This workshop will demonstrate 4 different teaching techniques to increase collaborative learning in the classroom.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Experience four different collaborative teaching techniques from a student's perspective.
  • Reflect on their experiences and identify key elements that made each collaborative technique effective.
  • Identify at least one collaborative teaching technique they feel confident in applying to their own teaching practice.

This workshop will introduce the tool StoryMaps as an alternative method for students to showcase learning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn what a StoryMap is and its capabilities
  • Access the Esri ArcGIS suite and create a StoryMap
  • Understand and replicate basic components of a StoryMap
  • Adapt and plan a project using the platform

Keenious Research Recommender is a research tool that uses AI to find resources based on written text. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn how to login to Keenious and add it to Word/Docs
  • Understand the different uses of Keenious
  • Discover the pros/cons of using an AI-based research tool
