The Getty provides access to the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) and to the Répertoire international de la littérature de l'art (RILA) for no charge on its website. These citation databases, searchable together, cover European and American visual arts material published between 1975 and 2007.
Comprehensive encyclopedia of art that includes many images. Cross-search several art encyclopedias and dictionaries including Grove Dictionary of Art and the Benezit Dictionary of Artists. It includes over 200,000 articles that span ancient to contemporary art and architecture, as well as over 19,000 images of works of art, structures, plans, and artist signatures.
