FDSYS Federal Digital System (GPO)
Maintained by the Government Printing Office, the FDSYS site allows you to browse and search through the US Code, the Code of Federal Regulations, the Federal Register, Federal Court Opinions, Legislative History Documents, and Presidential Publications.
Cornell's Legal Information Institute
An open access site which includes a community created legal encyclopedia (called Wex) as well as a directory of reputable online locations where state, federal, and foreign law can be found. This directory links one out to cases, codes, and other resources from the jurisdiction.
