Canvas

A chat service is available for faculty and students within Canvas!  For immediate assistance, click on Help in the left-hand sidebar and then select Chat with Canvas Support (Faculty) or Chat wih Canvas Support (Student) under Other Resources.

Our Help Desk is also available to help via the ticketing system.  Just email helpdesk@oxy.edu

1. Faculty and support staff now have access to the Canvas Faculty PD course within Canvas. The course covers the fundamental components of the Canvas LMS system and consists of asynchronous training materials so you can go at your own pace. You will learn how to create Modules, Assignments, and Quizzes, use the Rich Content Editor, Grading and Feedback, and much more.
2. Instructure, the educational technology company behind Canvas, provided us with virtual training sessions in August. These sessions covered many of the same topics contained in the asynchronous module described above, but in an interactive format.  For those unable to attend the live events, a recording of each session is linked below.

• Review the Canvas Instructor Guide or the Canvas Student Guide.  Canvas can also be accessed on mobile devices so if you want to learn more about Canvas on mobile devices, then review Canvas Mobile.
• Review video guides for Instructor or Student Canvas roles.
