How to add a single chapter from a book to a reading list

If you would like to add a chapter from a book in the Library's print collection to your reading list, you can request that Library staff scan the chapter and add a digital copy to your reading list.  Students can then download the digital copy or read it online.  To submit a request:

Open your reading list and click "Add items."  In the sidebar that opens to the right click "Library Search":

 

Search for your book using the 'Enter search criteria' field and select the correct title from the list of results.  Click 'Add & Edit':

 

Find the 'Type' drop-down menu and choose 'Book Chapter':

 

Fill in the chapter's title (and author, if relevant) and click 'Save.'  Your chapter request will be processed by Library staff and you'll receive an email notification when the scanned chapter is added to your reading list:
