HathiTrust Digital Library

What is HathiTrust?

HathiTrust (pronounced 'hah-tee') is a partnership of libraries and research institutions dedicated to preserving digital copies of print works in the HathiTrust Digital Library. Occidental College joined HathiTrust as a member institution in 2023, providing the Oxy students, staff, and faculty with wider access to the Digital Library.

What is in the HathiTrust Digital Library?

The HathiTrust Digital Library is the largest set of digitized books managed by academic and research libraries. The collection contains books, magazines, newspapers, sheet music, journals, and government documents (no audiovisual files). It represents many subjects, with the largest collections in Language & Literature, Philosophy, Religion, History, and Social Sciences. 51% of the collection is in English, followed by German, French, Spanish, and Russian materials.
