FYS Workshop: InterLibraryLoan

Welcome to the FYS Workshop LibGuide! This guide contains information that will get you familiar with some of the main services/resources of the Library, including: OneSearch How to Connect with a Librarian InterLibraryLoan

Accesing Materials We Don't Own

Oxy students, faculty, and staff can request to borrow items from another library if those items that are not available in the library catalog or are currently checked out using ILLiad to place an interlibrary loan request.

When searching for an article and it isn't available at Oxy, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

ILL is a service whereby a user of one library can receive copies of articles (or borrow books) that are owned or subscribed to by another library.

Our ILL portal is called ILLiad. ILLiad can be accessed directly or from the 360 Link to Full Text button found within database citations.

Use the  button in the article citation to check article access. When it is not available, click on Interlibrary Loan Request to make your request.

Article requests usually take 24-48 hours to fulfill, but can sometimes take longer.
